Dashboard

What the dashboard counters and due list show, how due status is worked out, and what to look at first each week.

Screen: Dashboard Clauses 6.4, 7.7, 8.7, 8.8, 8.9 Updated

The dashboard is the page you land on after signing in. It answers one question: what in the accreditation record needs attention, and how soon.

The four counters

Counter What it counts
Overdue Items past their due date, including lapsed items
Due in 30 days Items whose due date falls inside the lead time
Open NCRs Nonconformities in any state other than closed or cancelled
Days to assessment Days until the next assessment date entered in Settings

The due list

Below the counters is one table of everything with a date attached: calibrations, competence records with an expiry, planned proficiency tests, corrective actions and their effectiveness checks, planned internal audits, the next management review, document reviews and the assessment itself. Each row shows the item type, title, due date, status and a link to the record. Lapsed items sort first, then overdue, then due soon.

What the status chips mean

  • OK: the due date is further away than the lead time, or there is no due date.
  • Due soon: the due date is within the lead time. The default is 30 days; you can change it in Settings, and an equipment item can carry its own lead time.
  • Overdue: the due date has passed but the item is still inside its grace period.
  • Lapsed: past the due date and past the grace period. Grace is 0 days for calibration, 14 days for document review and 30 days for management review. Lapsed items appear in red in the assessor pack and at the top of the weekly email.

Statuses are recalculated every night and again whenever you save a record, so the list reflects today’s date without you doing anything.

Equipment marked as not requiring calibration has no due date, so it does not appear in the due list.

Completed this quarter

A count of items closed in the source record during the current quarter. Completed items stay visible for 90 days.

Export assessor pack

Owners, admins and auditors see an Export assessor pack button. It opens the Export screen.

The weekly email

Every Monday morning, or on the day chosen in Settings, AccreditBook sends the same due list by email. It is on by default and can be turned off in Settings.

First week

New labs see an onboarding checklist card on the dashboard until it is complete: pay, add or import equipment, add people, add documents, enter the next assessment date, invite a colleague and confirm the weekly email. Each step links to its screen.
